The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians that “God loves a cheerful giver,” for no gift given to God is unrewarded – it is a seed, and it always returns to us. Why? Because God Himself gave us the Ultimate Gift: His Only Begotten Son. God is a Giver!
When we forget this simple truth and consider God a taker, and not a giver, we rob God of the glory due Him for all that He has already given and will continue to give. But we also rob our seed of its power. God did not give Jesus without expecting. He sowed Jesus as a seed, in order to reap a harvest – a family – you and I. Therefore, we also should give... with EXPECTATION.
In Luke 6:38, Jesus says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Malachi 3:10 says, "Bring the whole tithe to the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."
