The Day of Atonement — in Hebrew: Yom Kippur — was God’s eternal design — prompting us to celebrate the atoning gift Christ gave us by His sacrifice on the Cross.
This is the highest of Old Testament holy days … and while it is often a season of turmoil in the world around us, for us as God’s children it is a season of promise!
I stand in awe of His plan … and His desire to bless you abundantly for your simple act of obedience to His command: a command to celebrate the feast that includes the Day of Atonement.
I believe when you sow a seed-faith offering, you place yourself in position to receive Atonement blessings of …
- A double portion from the Lord … twice the power of every blessing! (Joel 2:23)
- Financial overflow (like the threshing floor of Joel 2:24)!
- Restoration of what you’ve lost! (Joel 2:25)
- An explosion of miracles — “wondrously,” Jesus says! (Joel 2:26)
- The divine presence of Jesus Himself! (Joel 2:27)
- Increased revelation knowledge — with angels camped around your children! (Joel 2:28)
- Deliverance from anything blocking you! (Joel 2:32)
I believe these seven promises are made only to those who celebrate Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. It officially begins at sundown on September 27, and we will celebrate together on September 28.
So please do not wait … Sow your seed and submit your prayer needs now!
Many Bible scholars believe this season of Atonement is when Jesus will return — Atonement 2020 could be when we are called up to meet Him in the clouds! He could come tomorrow!
But even if the Rapture doesn’t happen this year, we nevertheless have reason to rejoice:
We have the seven promised blessings to look forward to — if we are obedient to sow in faith. Be obedient to honor God’s command — please, please don’t come empty-handed — sow your seed of faith as an Atonement Offering today!
