Harvest Preparatory School - Middle School Social Studies
MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHER (Grades 7-8)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education. Hold a valid Ohio teaching license or certificate. Preferably have at least 3 years of classroom teaching at the middle school level. REPORTS TO: Head of Middle School JOB GOAL: Carry out the mission of the school in your classroom on a daily basis by providing a private school education with a Biblical worldview. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assume a share of supervisory responsibilities expected of all Middle School Faculty members.

Valor Christian College - Bursar
Provides leadership and direction for tuition and fee structure, financial aid resources, billing and receivables, petty cash, and payments. Responsible for all student accounts. Maintains accuracy of student tuition and fee accounts, and oversees billing and receipt process to ensure timely and accurate billing statements for students. Keeps informed of updates to the student accounts system.  Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to the student interface to the student account system.  Builds and tests tuition and fee charge models for each semester.  Ensures that all College funds, including student payments, chargebacks, government checks/drafts, receipts from financial institutions, and other sources are properly accounted for and deposited into the prescribed College bank account in a timely manner.  Codes expenditures and reconciles all Valor General Ledger accounts, including intercompany accounts. Responsible for audit preparation and maintaining appropriate internal controls. Maintains policies and procedures related to the Finance Office and receivables. Supervise and lead the staff in the Finance Office by providing excellent management, training, and support.  Ensures office coverage and excellent customer service. Counsels and advises students regarding the tuition and fee payment process and options available to discharge the obligation including but not limited to payment plans, student loans, and personal payment arrangements with the College.  Provides assistance with customer service, parent/student interactions, and dispute resolution. Ensures compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and generally accepted accounting procedures, including Federal Title IV grant requirements related to cash disbursements and refunds. Responsible for 1099 and 1098T tax reporting, and all related reports and compliance initiatives. Coordinates with Information Technology as it relates to reporting, PCI Compliance, and third-party vendor integration. Assists the Business Manager with financial reporting and budget preparation. Partners collaboratively with other College offices and directs resources to student financial policies as appropriate. Maintains excellent control of departmental budget, consistently looking for ways to reduce costs without sacrificing service. Other duties as assigned. Some evenings and weekends required Requirements: Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance Experience:  Five years of experience in accounting and related regulations. Customer service, student accounts, and an understanding of technical systems are preferred. Required skills:  Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practice (GAAP), bookkeeping principles, and methods and terms, preferably with an emphasis on college and not-for-profit accounting. Knowledge of computer applications and terms regarding funds accounting. Must possess a high level of knowledge of Federal and State rules and regulations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated leadership competencies required; three years of supervisory experience preferred. Excellent quantitative analytic skills, writing and communication skills, demonstrated organization and leadership skills. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Accounting Team - Senior Accountant
Summary

Under the direction of the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant performs advanced professional accounting work including preparing, analyzing and/or auditing financial information, accounting reports, budgets and financial aid grants. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare journal transactions, resolve errors and identify appropriate corrective action
  • Examine financial documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established policies and procedures
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Participate in month and year-end processes
  • Reconciliation and management of Prepaid – Expenses, Deposits and Insurance
  • Work across functional lines with managers and staff to identify process improvement opportunities and to develop budget and forecasting strategies

  • Perform Accounts Payable duties as needed
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, business administration, finance or a closely related field from an accredited college/university

The Bus Driver opening is an as needed part–time casual position. The ideal candidate must have a successful and verifiable work history of at least 2–3 years in the area of transportation.

Primary Responsibilities
    Bus drivers to provide transportation with school–related activities, i.e. field trips, sporting events, etc. throughout the Columbus Metro area.
    Adhere to all Federal regulations and to all additional State of Ohio requirements.
    Preserve order on the bus and enforce school safety regulations, permitting only those authorized to ride.
    Provide transportation for special church events.
    Primary Qualifications
    The driver must be at least 21 and have at least a class B CDL with a passenger and school bus endorsement and authorized to work in the United States.
    2–3 years minimum experience with public or private bus transportation and must be extremely safety–conscious.

Media Team - Audio & Lighting Technician
World Harvest Church is looking for the right fit for our opening in our TV/Media Department. Job Responsiblities:

- Work in tandem with Content Creator and Director of Worship to plan light designs based on themes and ideas of the Pastoral and Media staff, as well as the different aspects of worship

-Work and meet weekly with Media and Worship teams

Media Team - Audio Engineer
The Audio Engineer will operate sound boards for live church services, events and studio tapings. The incumbent will be required to work a schedule that includes Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment

Media Team - Graphic Designer
World Harvest Church has an immediate opening for a dynamic Graphic Designer-Concept Artist. Qualified candidates must have strong proficiency in the full Adobe Suite and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Responsible for creating Direct Mail Pieces, Brochures, Misc. Marketing Materials, Signage, CD / DVD Disc Art and Web Graphics.
  • Manage marketing campaigns and graphic design projects from inception to completion.
  • Perform project coordination duties that include initiate projects, tacking jobs, and reporting status of jobs.

Producer/Director of Service Programming will lead the programming and implementation process of our weekly services for World Harvest Church.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Student Financial Services Coordinator provides oversight for the Financial Aid and Student Accounts processes at Valor Christian College. This director is responsible to administrate staff and programs that assist students with billing, financial aid applications, and receipt of federal, state, and institutional funds that make it financially possible for them to attend VCC. This person has responsibility to ensure VCC is complying will all state and federal regulations.

Deliver exceptional, student-focused support to all students that interact with the Financial Aid, Finance Office, and One Stop Student Services while understanding the unique needs of increasingly diverse and traditionally underserved student populations and providing oversight for the day-to-day customer service operations through all available points of contact.

Develop an annual operating and communications calendar for One Stop Student Services designed to ensure optimal service to students throughout the calendar year.

Collaborate with campus partners in the oversight of a new One Stop Website in the way of design, content, and brand, and development of other marketing materials as needed.

Make recommendations to directors from student-serving units across campus for any operational or strategic changes that can improve the overall student experience.

Collaborate to enhance VCC’s ability to recruit and retain talented and diverse students by applying best practices in the development, implementation, and management of student services.

Regularly track and assess performance metrics and strategize ways to continuously improve customer outcomes and ensure that all VCC communities are served effectively.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

MANAGE AND LEAD STUDENT FINANCIAL SERVICES STAFF, OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE BUDGET, AND ELECTRONIC/AUTOMATED SERVICES TO PROVIDE INFORMATION AND SERVICE TO STUDENTS

  • Lead and train professional and student staff to provide excellent service and accurate processing of financial aid and billing services.
  • Provide on-going training and support to ensure staff development growth and increased knowledge of institutional, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Coordinate streamlined interdepartmental processes within the Student Enrollment Experience, including but not limited to Registrar, Engagement, Online, and Admissions.
  • In collaboration with key leaders, develop and review office procedures maximizing accuracy, efficiency, productivity, and customer service.
  • Coordinate installation, setup, and operation of various software systems used in the Student Financial Services Office.
  • Coordinate timely completion of tasks.

MANAGE THE AWARDING OF FINANCIAL AID PACKAGES TO RECRUIT AND RETAIN STUDENTS AT VCC

  • Develop and implement awarding and packaging policies to support enrollment goals and maximize the utilization of funds.
  • Develop forms and publications to notify students of financial aid awards and procedures.
  • Manage the counseling and financial advising for students and their families.
  • Work with other offices to prepare invoice information for students (i.e. OneStop, Admissions, Accounting, Registration, Engagement, Housing).
  • Coordinate authorization of financial aid funds to be disbursed to student accounts.
  • Work with enrollment management team and third-party vendor to determine KPIs each year.
  • Cross-train other members on the financial aid, student billing, and other student facing processes and policies.
  • Create and provides data and/or reports on operations for tracking and evaluation.

 

ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL, STATE, AND COLLEGE REGULATIONS

  • Monitor students’ eligibility of financial aid funds.
  • Attend federal, state, and professional financial aid and student billing information and training conferences.
  • Keep current on federal and state financial aid programs, including interpretation, implementation, and compliance regulations, procedures and eligibility requirements.
  • Monitor and provide oversite for the administration of the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Loan Programs, Minnesota State Grant and Loan programs, Federal and State Work-Study Programs, and VCC’s institutional grant, scholarship, and discounting programs.
  • Develop consumer information and provide to students as required by federal regulation.

 

ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL, STATE AND UNIVERSITY REGULATIONS

  • Prepare annual FISAP (Fiscal Operations and Application for Funds) Report for U.S. Department of Education with assistance from Accounting and Registrar’s Offices.
  • Send origination and disbursement records of Federal Pell Grants to the U.S. Department of Education’s Recipient Financial Management System.
  • Assist in the submission of Financial Aid data for reports, the annual IPEDS report, and other requested data from enrollment, institutional research, and the registrar’s office.
  • Prepare annual report for auditors and provide information and answer questions for annual audit.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a One Stop Student Services center or closely aligned stakeholder office, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of areas of Enrollment Management, including admissions, financial aid, registration, and orientation, as well as other areas, such as student billing.
  • Demonstrated evidence of successful experience working with diverse populations and collaborating across institutional areas, commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
